Thought y’all might enjoy this picture of Panama City Beach, Florida. We’ve been coming here since I was a little girl with the same group of family and friends. We always stay at the same place the same week. This is the prettiest the water has been in years. I’m so glad I was able to come. And I’m going to plan on making it next year too.
There’s nothing like a little sand and salt water to heal the soul.

What a gorgeous photo...looks like a desert island ....when I was a little girl I lived near the sea but it was on the north east coast of England so not quite the same!!!... freezing cold most of the year but still lovely to walk on and usually deserted ....it’s so true about the calming nature of the seashore...the never ending permanence if it
I now live in the midlands as far away as you can get from the sea in England and I do miss it especially the noise of the seabirds
Have a wonderful time with your family and friends ....you deserve it

Hi Stacy,
Thanks for the lovely picture. The water looks so clear and inviting. There’s something very soothing and relaxing about heading to the coast. I’m glad you had a great time.
Beautiful. im in UK and years ago (1989/1990) I travelled all around America. The prettiest beaches by far were the Emerald Coast, I recall a little place called Biloxi just further round from Pensacola Beach, not too far from the one you go to. Miles of soft white sand and the most beautiful green ocean. Ah Im so jealous right now :). Good for you going back next year too. Enjoy. best wishes. Josie
That brings back memories of growing up in Columbus, GA, and going to Panama City for the beaches there! There used to be sand dunes that had been dredged up from the channel, and the sides of the dunes were full of sea shells! The sound of the waves is so soothing! I learned to love the sea (or the Gulf, actually) there.
When I was diagnosed with liver mets, my hubby and I left central Texas and moved to the gulf coast of Florida so we could walk on the beach regularly. The sand and the water really do feed your soul. Glad you got to go.
Oh, lovely. So nice to get together with the same group each year. The wonderful scenery and great company. Very nice. We have stayed on the gulf coast also for 7 winters. (we live in Ontario, Canada). A little more south than Panama. We stayed in Port Charlotte and then Sarasota in the last few years. So glad we could do it.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to PCB. I live in town, but we love to out there - especially in the off-season. We used to have a boat and loaded up after work on Fridays and took off with the dogs for Shell Island or Crooked Island. We spent every weekend over there for years.
Our dogs loved it. Those were great years. Hoping you and your family had a wonderful trip and come back soon. Blessing, Hannah
Let me know when you are coming sometime (after covid-19) is not a problem and we can meet for lunch. Liza's Kitchen on Thomas Drive has very good sandwiches but there are other places that are good too. Blessings, Hannah
