Laser Hair Removal

Good morning guys and dolls,

Just a quick question about doing some self maintenance.

I would love to get my legs lasered. Funnily enough my eyebrows are almost bald (3 cheers for eyebrow pencils/powders) but my legs are sadly not. I just want to make things a little easier for myself down the line.

I was wondering if anyone has had laser hair removal whilst on treatment? I’m currently on the Ibrance/Letrozole combo.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Good morning Lovely Lass, I can't help re lasering although I am considering it myself and don't foresee a problem.

Just wanted to mention that sparse eyebrows can be a sign of iodine deficiency which we cancer sufferers are often very deficient in (did you know that breast tissue is one of the biggest users of iodine in the body, I bet your onc is unaware to! They simply don't cover nutrition). When I realised this a few years ago I started using kelp in my diet and the outer third of my eyebrows, previously AWOL, grew back!

Ah no way? I did not realise that. I’ll add some iodine to the diet so and 🤞🏻

Cheers for info x

My eyebrows were so sparse that my husband said I looked like an alien and should consider having some tattooed on! Problem now solved. xxx

Hi!

Same meds...I actually go every month for laser hair removal for my legs. I have not had any issues. I also have not mentioned it to my onc either. 😊 Best!

Excellent Leeann, I think I’ll burst ahead with it. I’m fed up shaving my legs. It’s all about an easy life. I’d also hate to have to rely on anyone to do it for me if there comes a time I’m not able.

Thanks a mill x
