Go!!! I have breathing problems (asthma and lung Mets). I have a small pocket nebulizer and Albuterol for the short of breath times. I live in San Diego and most of the year is hot here (not today...brrr). In the airplane walk around as much as you can and do foot excercise while seated and drink lots of water. And above all, enjoy your trip! Spain is beautiful ❤️

Hi there

I’ve been to Italy twice whilst on targeted therapy and sunbathed the whole time...in fact we had such a hot summer in England last year I got a really good suntan

Why are you supposed to avoid the sun?.. never heard that

You go to Spain and enjoy

Hi Barb, they said because my skin would be more sensitive so stay out of the sun. Thanks Barb will do and thanks for replying

Maybe I have tough skin although it’s fair and freckly but I do use factor 20

Now I’m on different meds so I’ll see how my skin behaves...we’re going to Madeira in July...family holiday with my two girls and hubbies

You have a fab time

My doc says use sun screen! I can be in the sun. Going away to a Florida for 6 weeks! Just be careful!

Kiera49! I'll echo the others and say "Just Go!" :) . There are some valuable comments re: the sun, but I'll add re: the hot air....A few years ago I looked into going to Machu Picchu (sp?), like 11,000 feet elevation, and I was worried about breathing with like no RBC's...many hotels have oxygen supplies/masks in the rooms!...My doc told me to go.

I still haven't, but I still should! :)

Enjoy Spain, please do post pics!

Kiera49, I spend as much time as I can in Spain because I love it. We need sunshine to make Vitamin D which cancer sufferers are often short of. It's just common sense not to lay out in it all day which would not be pleasant anyway. Go for it and have a great time. xxx

GO!!! I went to Spain for 2 weeks while I was taking Ibrance & Faslodex. It was May 2018, so the weather was beautiful. I wore long sleeves during the day with light jacket in the evening. If the sun was hot, I wore a hot. I only got exhausted one day at the Alhambra. I perked up with a lot of water. There was a lot of walking, but I held my own. We were up early in the AM & went to bed late at night.

Go, go! I’m on Ibrance and Faslodex and I’m vacationing in Maui. My tan is starting to look good! I use a 30 suntan lotion and don’t spend hours in the sun, especially in the middle of the day. I spend a lot of time reading in the shade and enjoying watching the waves and spotting the whales. It is really helping my outlook since Oregon at this time of the year is very rainy and gray. I am all over that! I’m looking forward to 6 weeks in Florida and believe me I’ll be at the pool and beach! Use sun screen and don’t stay all day, but a couple hours is good! Enjoy❤️

We’re going to the US this year with the kids. My partner is on Ibrance with low rbc. Get some insurance and get gone :)
