Just wondering how long people manage to stay on this. I know people have problems with their hands and feet . Thanks .

I have neuropathy in my hands and it is miserable. I have just started 2 medications that are giving me relief. I am 8 months in this journey.

I’ve been on Xeloda 5 months. 2 weeks on 1 week off. My side effects are in my feet and hands. Finger tops are very sensitive. I have to wear rubber gloves for everything. My thumb peeled, now my iphone doesn’t recognize my finger print. You mentioned 2 medications that help. Please share what they are. God bless you, Mary

Absolutely. I take 600mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day and 25 mg of Pregabalin 2 times per day. I find it makes a huge difference in my neuropathy pain.

I have been on Xeloda since April 2019, so approaching one year. Feet are ok, tips of fingers are very, very dry, but very little other side effects. Good luck!

I got 3 years on it had to titrate the dose throughout but it worked on keeping my TNBC in check- yes my hands and feet took the brunt of it but with a lot of creams and lotions my hands were good - lost my finger print- wishing you a long time on it as well!!

I was on it a year and a half and then switched to Ibrance and letrazole. I never had any hand or feet issues and no mouth sores but plenty of gas and diarrhea. No neuropathy either.

Good question, it may be very individual. I just started on xeloda, 14 days on, 7 days off.
