Just wondering how long people manage to stay on this. I know people have problems with their hands and feet . Thanks .

I have neuropathy in my hands and it is miserable. I have just started 2 medications that are giving me relief. I am 8 months in this journey.
I’ve been on Xeloda 5 months. 2 weeks on 1 week off. My side effects are in my feet and hands. Finger tops are very sensitive. I have to wear rubber gloves for everything. My thumb peeled, now my iphone doesn’t recognize my finger print. You mentioned 2 medications that help. Please share what they are. God bless you, Mary
Thank you for your question, will be starting on this treatment about next week.
I have been on Xeloda since April 2019, so approaching one year. Feet are ok, tips of fingers are very, very dry, but very little other side effects. Good luck!
I got 3 years on it had to titrate the dose throughout but it worked on keeping my TNBC in check- yes my hands and feet took the brunt of it but with a lot of creams and lotions my hands were good - lost my finger print- wishing you a long time on it as well!!
Thanks x
Thanks x
I was on it a year and a half and then switched to Ibrance and letrazole. I never had any hand or feet issues and no mouth sores but plenty of gas and diarrhea. No neuropathy either.
Thanks x
Hi... Just started it as my 4th line of treatment 2.5 weeks ago... I have terrible neck and back pain but suspect it is more because of bones mets that meds...
Thanks for the reply. poor you and you are so young. NHS is such a lottery. Hope you feel better soon and Xeloda works for you. Sorry can I also ask your dose and if on one week on one week off. Thanks.
Good question, it may be very individual. I just started on xeloda, 14 days on, 7 days off.
Thanks Susie and good luck.
