Ibrance to Affinitor

Ibrance to Affinitor? I have been on Ibrance / Aromasin for a year (challenges with major mouthsores so only half dosage) however my markers are up 30 points. Now Affinitor/Aromasin, can anyone share?

I was on Ibrance/Letrozole for almost two years with no progression. In July 2019, I had mets on my liver. I started on Affinitor/Faslodex injections - the maximum dosages, for nearly 6 mos and had further progression. I’m now talking Talzenna because I am BRCA2 positive, and my onc is trying to qualify me for an immunotherapy trial in conjunction with taking the Talzenna.

I’ve been fortunate to have no side effects on any of my meds so far. I do recommend the “magic mouthwash” that doctors often prescribe with Affinitor, as it is known to cause mouth sores.

Where are your mets? Have you had genetic testing?

My first treatment was Ibrance. After just 6 months I had progression. I have now on Afinitor and Aromasin for 2 years with no progression. I was on full dosage for 18 months. Now on 5 mg of Afinitor. It's not been bad for me at all. If you gave any specific questions feel free to ask me.

Hi, I was on affinitor 10mg and exemestane from September to December. I had problems with mouth ulcers and cracked lips. If you get either act early to get on top of them., I was told that they were a common side effect.
