I'm a Challenge!

My Oncologist told me today that I'm quite a challenge! We went over the side effects I'm having, bladder pain, horrible joint pain, tooth pain, exhaustion and more. I asked to have my Ibrance reduced to 75 mg and he agreed! We are also reducing my inhibitor by half- he feels that may be causing the bladder issues. He wants me to try to stay on my meds till December when we'll do another PET Scan, then we'll discuss other options. He did say if I can't tolerate the meds, he wants to send me fir a small amount of radiation treatment for the one tiny tumor left on my chest wall. He did warn that getting off my meds will mean the cancer is sure to come back. I told him I'll try the new dosage and that I have faith we will kill all the cancer. He just smiled and agreed. I told him I have faith!

So, here we go!

Sounds like a good plan that you can always tweak if you have to. And you sound so upbeat. Happy for you

Seems like a good plan and we're all a challenge I think :)

I hope the side effects are easier to take on 75!

Btw, this is the first time I heard about the possibility of a lower dose inhibitor. Which one are you on now and what is he reducing it to. I wish I could reduce mine!

I will pray right now that all the cells in your body are working together to ensure your good health. Saying this 20 times a day might help too

Thanks BuoyantCat! Your post caused me to remember something I heard a preacher on tv say the other day, and that was to speak to our bodies, speak health! but what he said that was new to me was he said that the hypothalamus RESPONDS only to our OWN VOICE! So just like our Father, who spoke and worlds came into existence, we are to speak in faith to our bodies to be well and whole, since we are made in His image! I wish I could remember exactly how he said it, it was brilliant, but I think you get the drift! Also, SurvivorNow, researchers have said 42 days off ibrance and it starts working again! Blessings to you on your new lower dose, and I'm 100% in your corner! METAavivor! A term I heard today for US. This also was an interesting article and I gleaned a few things from it ... like mama always said, eat the meat and spit out the bones!

I am glad everything that God spoke through me to remind you just because to your body. I keep trying to do that myself I put little cards up with the statement about my health. I might add one thing though “Don’t eat the meat” LOL
