Went to see the Nurse Consultant got to go monthly to pick up tablets right about the 3 month no blood tests just pick up tablets once a month and just blood pressure etc can't give you the tablets for 3 months because of the cost etc here in Uk Nhs.

Hi Lily, I'm in UK and I pick up my Palbociclib (Ibrance) monthly but I do also have blood tests monthly too to make sure my neutrophils are at a safe level for the Onc to prescribe the it. Not sure what you take but I suppose it depends what meds you're on as to whether they deem it necessary to have the bloods.

Ibrance and aromisin no bloods from now every 3 months usual protocol

Contact the unit if you have a temp or A & E if it's a weekend I'm in Essex by the way

They did say that after 6 cycles you seem to be stable so they consider this after this time just started cycle 14

Ah right I see. Mine might go to 3 months then after a while.

I’m the same, monthly pick up of palbociclib and letrozole but always with blood tests.

Hi Lily

I have just started my 5th cycle of Letrozole and Ibrance. My Onc said I would probably go to 2 monthly after my next scan in October.

She said it was to make it easier for us. It’s normally a long wait..... we get bloods done in the morning, then go back for appt, wait to see Dr/nurse, wait, have injections, wait, and wait a bit longer to get tablets.

I must say, the month comes around very quickly for me, and if I can get on with my life hospital free for a couple of months, it will certainly make me feel more normal.

I also asked about Brexit and it’s affect on our treatment. She said the Health Board, and other Boards have made contingency plans, so there will be no problems.

I don't know what treatment you are on, but I have a blood test every three months, the week prior to my zometa infusion. It does not affect my letrozole or zoladex, so I still get my prescription and injection on time every time.

I'm in US. Every month, I go to cancer center (tomorrow, as a matter of fact). I had a CT scan due on Thursday of this week. I first get my blood work done, then meet with onco (this week about results, but meet with her every time anyway), then the finale is the falsodex injections. Here, I got my meds delivered by the specialty pharmacy. I call them a week before I am going to run out. When I was on Ibrance, it was sent federal express. Interesting the difference in how medical works in different countries. When I started the Ibrance (only 3 cycles and it was stopped, not due to progression though), a nurse from Pfizer, the company that makes Ibrance would call me once a month to ask if I had any side effects, what kind and the severity and would recommend some methods to deal with it but she would always say Talk to your doctor first. I guess they were tracking women who were starting with Ibrance since its a fairly new drug.
