A couple of complimentary house cleanings may be available in your area. This is in the U.S. and Canada, for anyone undergoing cancer treatment. I ran across it in my Facebook feed, or it ran across me.

I can afford my housekeeper twice a month and don’t know what I would do without her! My old housekeeper quit to go on to a better job and I tried to do it on my own for about 4 months. The extra money was nice and I could do it but it used up most of my available energy and I never got done at one time so I felt like I was cleaning constantly. If you can take advantage of this, I would encourage you to do so, life feels so much more under control when your house is clean!

Unfortunately, I would be the type that has to clean up BEFORE the cleaning service comes. I try to do little areas once a day otherwise it gets overwhelming and I live alone!

When I was living overseas many years ago, I had a cleaning lady that came in once a week. The first few weeks I did clean before she arrived, then I found that if I picked a project in a room I could close, I could ignore what she was doing. Closets got cleaned out that way, and sewing projects that had stacked up finally got done. If the day comes you would really like to have someone in, see if this trick might work for you.

I live in a large L-shaped studio. Big enough to hold my queen-size bed, but no actual room to go into and shut the door. I cannot be just sitting there watching someone else clean LOL...Plus, for now, I can handle it as long as I do a small bit at a time (mine is in my lungs) bc I get out of breath easily (PLUS I am overweight).

Under those circumstances, I would feel the same way. My Mother is the one with mbc, I follow this site to learn as much as possible so that I am better prepared when she encounters side-effects etc.. She lives with me, so the housekeeper came with the house. lol
