On Ibrance 100mg every other day. Suddenly developed legs aching so badly all night that it's difficult to sleep. This has gone on for 3 nights. Joint pain is getting worse. Anyone else having similar issues?

I had some on that combo. I was on ibrance 75. I started to take two tylenol pm at night and it helped. If it gets worse def speak to dr.

Sorry. You may need some chemical help to sleep. I would def ask dr. Sleep is critical with this disease.

Try sublingual melatonin to sleep. You can easily take up to 20 dosage but I only need 5.

I'm not on ibrance, but I used to have aching legs too. Have you tried adding Epsom salts to your bath? Exercise can really help too. If these measures don't help, I would mention this to your oncologist.

I use Epsom salt, baking soda and lavender essential oil in my bath. And I walk in my pool and do leg kicks every day. Never had legs ache like this!

I would go ahead and speak to your oncologist about this and see what can be done to bring you some relief. But in the meantime I would take an anti-inflammatory to help with the pain. Then hopefully you will be able to sleep.

I can't take anti-inflammatory because just one prescribed by my Oncologist's Assistant gave me gastritis (my system can't handle Ibuprofen or tylenol) ! Still healing from one pill after 2 months!

Hope you are on proton pump inhibitor like nexium.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can take something else that won't cause such an adverse reaction.

Hi Survivornow

I just stopped taking Letrozole, Ibrance, and Xgeva due to progression and I have the exact symptoms. I have pain from my hips down to my calves. I can’t get comfortable at night although heat does help. So far the only pain med I’ve taken is Ibuprofen. I used to be able to fall right to sleep, but now experiencing insomnia. I have only been off all meds for four days. I thought the pain was from meds, but beginning to wonder how much is the Mets. I was wondering if compression socks would help at least with my calve pain. If no improvement soon, I will be reaching out to my care team for help. Wishing you all the best.

Hello Suvivornow... I too had achy and cramping legs on Letrozole/Ibrance combo. I take (2 pills) 400mg of magnesium glycinate at bedtime and symptoms are gone plus it helps maintain bowel movements. I checked with pharmacist about interaction and he said no issues. Hope this helps! Aimee

I've been taking one, but skipped it the past few days. Makes sense!

I am 59 and have been stable on Ibrance and Letrozole (lung mets) for three years, but I have a ton of arthralgia (joint pain), especially sore feet and pain in my left heel. It used to be, for several years, that my feet would hurt in the morning, when I would stand up out of bed, but the pain would go away after 20 or 30 steps. Now the pain only goes away 50%, and I actually hobble a little because my left heel hurts. I have never had feet issues before in my life. Saw my onc today and I have no elevated CA markers or long bone pain so he says I don't need a bone scan. I take Ibuprofen several times a week. Luckily, I have a cast iron stomach and it doesn't bother me. Arthritis is super common and most of my same-age friends without cancer also report stiffness and joint discomfort. Maybe it's normal.

Wow! My left heel has been an issue since Ibrance along with the joint and rib pain. My GP said it's proof that the med is working and that it effects certain areas like ribs and joints because of their bone density. Makes sense! I will only remain on Ibrance till I have NED, then will maintain my way.

My oncologist told me that some of his patients but a bar of soap in between the sheet where it aches and that helps. I used Irish spring. I opened a new box and put the bar by my calfs. Voila!! And my oncologist said he'd never admit telling me! :)

Has anyone tried turmeric for anti-inflammatory support?

Turns out I have a raging bladder infection that has dehydrated me, dropped my magnesium and sodium levels too low. So the extra magnesium at night has been helping and I was told to add salt to my lemonade. And off all meds for a week while my antibiotic works.
