HETEROGENEITY??

Does anyone know what heterogeneity mean in ER+ and HER2 expression? Just been reading through my mams old hospital letters from last year when she first got diagnosed with MCB. This was from her pathology testing. Any advice would be so appreciated thanks you xx

I don’t know but I always google things like that to get an idea of what it is you can try that sometimes helpful but not always.

I know sometimes it’s hard to figure out and it starts sending you to all different sites. Sorry I wasn’t much help.

Have you asked for an explanation from her doctor? If you don't understand something, ask.

Sounds like she’s triple positive...I started on Herceptin/Perjeta combo and have been on it for 3 years so far. I know someone at my center who’s been in it for 5 years!

Sorry for the late reply.. is that what it means? I’ve never heard her oncologist say anything about hr positive just er positive and her2 expression I’m so confused 😂 xx

Triple positive is ER/PR positive...along with HER2+...I took when she said HER2 expression as Her2+ as I’m assuming if there was no Her2 expression it would be Her2-...but if I misread that I apologize...😀
