Started letrozole and Zoladex in January, ibrance started in mid-Feb.

prior to getting MBC diagnosis, i tracked my period via an app (who wants to schedule a vacation or ax appt while on their period, right?)

My last regular period was in early February none since...i was feeling some of my usual PMS symptoms the other day & after looking at the period calendar i was indeed in the PMS phase of my cycle. weird, right? or not? cause for concern? anyone else?

Your doctor prescribed letrozole and you still have your period? I was diagnosed with cancer again this year. And they told me to remove my ovaries and put me in menopause so I can take letrozole.

Oh! You maybe can ask your Onc doctor. It didn't happen to me, but I do have horrible hot flashes all day long and pain in my bones and hips. Also, I have insomnia since February. Probably all the side effects of meds, radiation, surgery......

Hi,

It sounds really unusual to still have PMS-type symptoms considering your last period was in February. I had my first zoladex injection on 16th May last year and I started letrozole on 1st June. My last period was 9 days after I started zoladex and that was it. I would definitely mention the symptoms you are experiencing and see what your oncologist or oncology nurses have to say. I hope the symptoms subside. I thought that the benefits (if you can call it that!) of ovarian suppression and aromatase inhibitors was no more periods or need for contraception.

I’m not sure how the Letrozole works as I am post menopausal. Ask your doctor but I would guess if your periods have stopped the hormones are being suppressed. I always make a list in my note app and add questions as I think of them.
