Hello. Does ibrance give anyone major bone pain? Including little shock like symptoms. I get bone pain mainly on my lower back and hips and femur.

Westray,

Yes! I have lots of bone pain. It’s in my spine, ribs, and lower back or pelvis. Seems I’m worse after doing errands and getting in and out of the car.

I go home and take 1 Oxycodone and sit in my rocking chair with a heating pad on my lower back.

This soothes my bones. After sleeping, I have little or very little pain the next morning. Doing too many things causes me the most pain. I use a heating pad in bed too.

And I do have many aches and pains in other parts of my body too which I’m learning how to deal with.

I see my Oncologist tomorrow. Ley’s See if he has more suggestions beyond drugs for pain.

Maybe I need extra radiation for the arm pain? Time for bed. I feel like exhausted!

Happy Birthdatpy to you and Caroline tomorrow! The 07 came out in middle tonite. Louise is right. Play the person’s age.

I have pain in my lower back, rib and my upper back. Sometimes it tolerable, I take some med pain . If I do to much it's worse. I thank God that I can walk and still do things on my own . Praying for all. Blessings!!

As I understand it Ibrance targets bone marrow as part of the way it works so I guess that's why. But they don't tell you about bone pain as a side effect which seems odd!

What cycle are you on with ibrance. Within the first 6 cycles of ibrance my femur hurt horribly. When I went for my scans I was waiting to hear there was progression but actually my femur didn’t show anything on the scan. I know sometimes they say the pain is from the ibrance working. I’m on my 13th cycle now and as long as a stretch I’m pretty good. Feel better!!

It could be that the ibrance is working. If so the pain will subside. Check with your doctor at your next apt and hopefully it’s doing what it’s supposed to.

I never know if it’s the bone mets or the meds. Letrozole has really been bothering me, especially my hands. My oncologist changed it to another hormone blocker. Like the other ladies, I live with my heating pad and pain meds. It is worse depending on my activity level. I have been on Ibrance and the Letrozole for 14 cycles, and no progression! I guess we just live with it.

I too have random bone pain and what feels like electrical shocks, never sure if it’s the Ibrance, letrozole or xgeva. I’m on my 25th cycle of Ibrance, scan in December 2017 showed no progression or activity. Having another scan on March 1st because pain seems to be increasing even though labs look good. My heating pad has become my best friend. Taking pain meds daily, have tried thc and cbd oil twice in the last week for pain and sleep, think it’s helping but haven’t decided for sure yet.

Yes just got my MM license so will be trying that route as to not take pain less every day.

You are the first person to mention electrical shocks as well. Interesting.

My first symptoms of cancer were shock like pain in my spine. They started about 1 year before diag. They come and go. Since I have been NED for 7 months they are much less frequent.

I am suffering so much with bone pain in my shins, femur, knees and hips. I was told not to take CBD because it blocks the liver from absorbing the Letrozole and Ibrance, and I don’t want that! Motrin tends to help but they told me to take Tylenol and not Motrin. I just really need suggestions other than those I mentioned if you have any. Thanks!

So I started taking a daily Claritin because I read on an Ibrance Facebook page. Tmro I start my off week which is when I get most pain so hoping it works. I usually take either 2 Advil or 2 Aleve (which is the same as 1 Naproxen prescription). I do the CBD vape and oil but I hate being high. Although my oncologist says I can do it. I don’t have liver Mets only to bones

Thank you! I will try the Claritin. I’m anxious to know what your med onc says.
