7 months on Ibrance/Letrozole because of mets to lymph nodes and lungs. Dose reduced to 100mg after 3 months due to side effects. Scan shows lung nodules miniscule. And onc's manual exam could not find enlarged, hard lymphnodes under arm!🙏🙏🙏🙏
How long have you been taking this combo, with what results?
Was on that combo for about 3 years with a little progression in some nodules. So switched in Sept to Faslodex with showed some regression in recent scan.
If I understand correctly, the Ibrance works well, but you successfully switched from letrozole to Faslodex and had regression of tumors within 6 months? That's great!!! I pray and hope it'll keep regressing🙏
So far so good🙏In May 2 years on letrozole and ibrance 125 , my cancer markers have never been lower, I deal with the side effects, fatigue, hair loss, nausea and bone pain. I'm so thankful to those researchers, Drs and patients who have made these meds possible. I have blood tests every month, scans every 3-4 months and markers every 6 months. Next week Ct scans chest, abdomen and pelvis, and hope for good results.
My family and dear friends carry me through the scary days. I mentioned this before in my last reply, I ABHOR the walgreens commercial, I don't want to be reminded what we go through, it was the worst time, and I don't know anyone dancing around in wigs or smiling when being bound or having head shaved. Disgusting to pretend to care when it's just for profit and to portray mbc patients having a grand old time, and exposing private situations as easy!!! Sorry to rant😕
I’ve been on ibrance and letrozole almost 3 years and have had good pet scans ever since, showing all Mets healed. My doctor only had me have one pet scan a year 😃glad you are doing so well!
I hope you'll do well too. The first three months were tough for me and my oncologist lowered the Ibrance to 100mg. That made a big difference for me. Wishing you great results❤️🙏
Hi, I have been on Ibrance/Faslodex for almost a year. My cancer metastasized to left lung, 3 tumors, had CT scan last week and my tumors are smaller. Will get PET scan in June for more complete test. I have faith in treatment but know I will always be in treatment. This week marks 4 years since diagnosis. I went 5 years prior undetected.
