Sometimes I feel ok. Most times I’m a little tired. I think there’s other factors too. Glad you feel well!!! Hope it continues 💕

I think everyone reacts differently. I am not tired either, on my 6th cycle. I felt worse before treatment. But at night around 9:30 I feel it, during the day I run around so I don’t feel tired at all, which I like. Is ibrance your first treatment? Is it with letrozole?

Yes it is with letrozole. It's hard isn't it, analysing every bodily response. I have a CT scan on October 16 so will know more after that. Thanks for replying

My pleasure, yes it’s hard to know what’s going on with your body, this is why it’s good that we have each other on this site to bounce things off . Good luck with your scans. I had mine last week and get results Tuesday. Have. Great night.

I have definitely readjusted to the medication over time (just started 11th month on ibrance 125mg/ Letrozole) and I don’t get tired much during the day , but I think you do learn to pace yourself and I am in bed around 10pm most nights . Good luck with your upcoming scan . The wait is the hardest bit but hang in there ! x

Hi

I suspect that reading the side effects you may get actually makes you get them?.. I know some ladies do suffer but I honestly haven’t felt the fatigue I was expecting with Ibrance..thank goodness..maybe just lucky

I think sometimes it is hard to know what is a symptom from your body and one our mind constructs. This happens to my husband and I (not BC symptoms, but other!) even to the point that when he has, for instance, a sore tooth, I start to feel the same. He goes to the dentist, gets it taken care of, and I feel better!!! Kind of nutty, but true. Sometimes true with these symptoms as well!

My Mum on same with letrazol. She was very tired at first and even though she isn’t as tired during day she will be in bed early most nights now where she used to be a night owl. She recently had her first scan results and all is well as can be. Better than we expected. X

Hi Rotagirl,

If you are concerned that your treatment is not working, then I would mention it to your oncologist. I can see where you are coming from. You feel that if you are having side effects then that must mean treatment is working, and if you do not get them that can be a worry. But I remember what my oncologist and oncology nurses told me back in May. They went over every possible side effect, but said I was unlikely to get them all. I am not dealing with the extreme fatigue I had at first and I am not getting any hot flushes, but I do feel better physically.

I think many of us are so conditioned to feel "sick" as cancer patients that when we don't it can make us wonder why. Whenever I have a treatment, friends will often ask if I feel sick, but I never do. I actually feel better after some of my treatments. I am not having chemotherapy, so everyone's reaction to their own particular treatment will be different.

Take care,

Sophie x

That is fantastic to hear! I hope for the same thing. I get my third shot of letrozole Wednesday and my second round of ibrance. The first round was rough. I have had fatigue, nausea, indigestion, lack of appetite and diarrhea. I am going to lower my ibrance down to 100mg. I was on 125mg. If the body does finally get used to the meds that would be delightful to know. It is wonderful that you're tolerating it so well. I was great up until my third week on ibrance, then went down hill pretty fast. I'm just now feeling better, and an dreadful of wednesdays approaching appointment.

I too am just starting go round three of Ibrance and anastrazole. I have energy during the day but hit the wall around 9;30 or ten. I guess that is not a bad thing. Has anyone experienced worsening neuropathy in their hands?

I sure appreciate reading each of your opinions and input.

I didn't have a lot of fatigue on Ibrance but am on something else now. I am pooped by around 9 - 9:30 so always in bed by them. I know what you are saying though, if I am not getting side effects is it working. I hope you find this comforting but before my current treatment I was on Faslodex shots and had no side effects at all and i was on it for 11 years!! Take care!

Oh ya and more, I will be praying for you for many many many more. God bless and big hug to you. I was newly diagnosed and I see my oncologist tomorrow to see if treatment is working. I am nervous and hope I can get at least 20 more years so I can see my kids graduate and get married. :)

Ps did the Faslodex stop working? What else were you on with the Faslodex? And what treatment are you on now? Also, how long were you on ibrance?

I had exactly the same concerns, I'm on ibrance 125mg for bone mets. The side effects I have are hardly anything, especially when compared to the ones I had on tamoxifen last year. I had a scan which showed no spread and areas of bone healing. Try not to worry and enjoy the lack of side effects :-)
