My dr prescribed dexamerhasone .5 mg at 4 times per day. I only experienced sensitive gums at first but it went away.
Hi, Gibbset,
I take Ibrance, letrozole, and Xgeva. I do this morning and night:
1. Before brushing teeth, rinse for 30 seconds with Plax.
2. Brush teeth with Arm & Hammer Peroxicare toothpaste.
3. After rinsing teeth with water, rinse for 30 seconds with Listerine Zero Alcohol Mouthwash.
All three available on Amazon:
1. Plax: amazon.com/Plax-Dental-Rins...
2. Arm & Hammer Peroxicare toothpaste: amazon.com/Arm-Hammer-Perox...
3. Listerine Zero Alcohol: amazon.com/dp/B012O55RE2?aa...
I follow this regimen regularly and have had no problems with mouth sores. Good luck to you; hope you have the same success if you try this out! Bless you! Linda in Seattle
My doc prescribed a mouthwash but I found gargling with salt and warm water or baking soda and warm water worked best. Gargle 3 times a day and avoid any harsh toothpastes and all mouthwashes that have alcohol in them.
I do the same. No problems for me. I think if you're prone to them it's good to brush your teeth and do the gargle soon after eating anything. Also make sure you're very well hydrated.
My doctor prescribed "Magic Mouthwash", which helped when I tried to eat, because it deadens your mouth for awhile. I gargled with baking soda as well....
