I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you, who responded to my post about the cold sores/canker sores. I looked it up, they look like canker sores. It really helped me to see I do have options and you are an encouragement to me.

Thank you
I’m not sure if I responded but the new med “gelclair” really helped me with canker sores. They have copay assist and I paid zero for it!
Daily gargle with salt and baking soda and lysine pills ... never a mouth sore
I just wanted to respond about my recent experience with canker sores. In the past I only got an occasional one and found taking Tums quickly got rid of it.
But back in June I developed extreme pain in a molar requiring an eventual root canal. There was an infection brewing.
One week prior to my root canal I developed persistent canker sores and really found nothing was helping EXCEPT having the root canal and cleaning out of the infection. I was astonished how those sores disappeared by the next morning & haven't returned!!!
Now if they return the next time I have an Xgeva shot I'll have to modify my personal experience theory. Be it as it may... I am not implying all canker sore sufferers need root canal treatment... LOL!!!
smile, hopefully not. An infection seems to be related to canker sores, they suck but usually, there is something that can be done to get rid of them or keep them at bay. Hope you don't get anymore more canker sores.
