Hi. I'm looking for someone to speak with a newly diagnosed woman living with mets to the lung who is taking Ibrance. She is having shortness or breath or asthma like symptoms. Anyone compatible who is willing to speak with her?

Ibrance with lung mets and shortness of breath?
There is a site called SHARE support that will pair a survivor to someone who needs to talk. If you Google "SHARE breast cancer support", you should find them.
Hi, I have MBC with mets on my lungs, spine and nodes in my neck. I have been suffering with shortness of breath and persistent dry cough. I have just completed my fourth week of being on Ibrance, Letrozole and Denosumab injections.
Can I help?
Thank you for your reply. Can you send me your contact info? I can connect you with the SHARE volunteer who is looking for the peer match. Thank you so much!

I was diagnosed with MBC in Kate December 2017, found in lining of my Left lung with pleural fluid. I am currently on Ibrance and letrizole. I am positive and engage in complimentary methods to assist in my healing. Happy to speak to this lady and help.

I have Mets to the bone and am also experiencing shortness of breath and dry cough. I am on Ibrance, 125 dosage, on 21 and off 7 in a 28 day cycle. My counts had decreased so last cycle I was 14 on 14 off @ 125 dosage. My onc is aware of my symptoms and agreed to an inhaler prescribed by my personal doctor. The inhaler helped and I was better. Used it through pollen time mostly. Now once again, the symptoms have returned. Go to onc on Tuesday and we will discuss. Due for scans again in August. I was diagnosed In 2012, with surgery, chemo and radiation. Finished in 12/2012. Small lesion on L2 region on spine in 2014 and has not changed; very stable. Of course with Scan time coming up so does the usual increase in anxiety. I stay busy, stay as social as I can (blood counts), my dog keeps me walking. Stay strong!
Hi, Thank you for responding. I'm sorry to learn the symptoms came back. What did your onc say? Was just discussing in a group on Monday what the participants do around scan time when anxiety increases. Most said they stay busy as you stated here. Dog walking is a good one. We had a program at SHARE last night about therapy dogs who work in a variety of settings from hospitals to nursing homes to colleges and libraries. Kids read to them...thereby increasing their reading skills. Dogs are a great stress/anxiety reliever.
Just so you know...I am looking for information for a friend of a friend. I work at SHARE...the org that hosts this site.
I have been on Ibrance, letrozole & Zometa or Xgeva since January of 2018. Beginning in May I started having a superficial cough with some clear phlegm. I felt a tightness in my left chest that broke up with repeated deep breaths. I learned in June from a new oncologist I had a small nodule dating back to December of 2017 in that same spot of tightness.
I already had inhalers from pre-cancer days but needed newer ones. I found my cough lessened with use of inhalers but not sure where this is all going. My neutrophil count was at its lowest reading... 1.2. I see my oncologist next week.
