Anyone have shingles? I think I do. And i found a swollen lymph node under my armpit. I think the node is from the infection in my body. I’ll call dr on Monday.

Hi there, hoping you have gotten to your oncologist already as mine told me to absolutely don’t get shingles!!! Is your white count low with low neutrophils?

I’ll call him Monday. Yes white cells are down from Ibrance. I went to a clinic yesterday and they dudnt seem too concerned and said I’d have to ride it out.

I'm sorry to hear about the shingles and hope that you'll be feeling better soon. I'm hopeful that the node is related to the shingles. Speak with your oncologist about it (as a group member already wisely mentioned) and perhaps your family doctor as well. Wishing you a speedy recovery and sending you many hugs!

Oncologist put me on a super duper huge 800mg antiviral Med to take 5 a day for 7 days. I’m handling it but it’s trying to creep from my back to my side and my nerves are tingling and itching. Still going through my normal everything else.

This is a huge reminder for us to get the shingles vaccination and any other vaccinations and inoculations we can! Talk with your onc about that, too, including how long you need to wait for the vaccination. All the people I've known who have had shingles describe it as very very painful, even my rough tough cop husband who has gone to work with broken bones and has a very high pain threshold! I wonder if there are pain meds that help with that. I am glad that you are on meds for the shingles. Hope it all passes quickly. Sending cyberhugs, very gentle cyberhugs, and prayers.

I was told by my oncologist that once diagnosed I could not have the shingles vaccination, or any with live cultures.
