Is anyone taking this medication, and if so, are u having any problems with it? My mouth stays broke out and my feet and hands are very sensitive! Thanks

I too take xeloda. I do experience hand and feet problems. I do not have the mouth issues. I have been on the medication since January 2017.

Yes I have been on Xeloda for almost a year for Liver Mets and it kills my Mouth, I have tried so many different things and nothing seems to work, I talked to my Doctor about it and we switched me to being one week on the meds and one week off and that seems to not be as harsh. I was doing 3 on and 1 off and my mouth was just killing me.

Yes the one week on one week off seems to be much more tolerable so far. The Mouth sores don't have time to really break out. I am on 3 in the morning and 2 at night one week on and one off. Much better.

Sore dry desert mouth. I changed my tooth brush to a soft brush, I use biotene and lozenges called therabreath. That seems to help a great deal. My dose is 1,500 mg twice a day for 2 weeks then 2 weeks off. I deal with the feet issue and fatigue as well. We decided not to change the dose at this point. It may be considered in the future. Initially I took it for 3 weeks on 1 week off with very intolerable results. This dose seems much more tolerable.

I am glad you talked to your doctor. It is important to let them know about your side effects. Besides you are the key to your healing.

So true. I’m on three weeks off one week. I’ve got one pair of flip flops I can wear. Don’t know what to do about this winter lol

So true about shoes- need to get bigger sizes. Love my Birkenstocks!!!
