First day of chemo is tomorrow march 22nd. It will take 6 hrs.

As the caregiver, is there anything you can share with me about what we will need the first night? We already have the zofran. I'm mainly talking about stuff I can buy at the store. Thank you!!

So sorry to hear of your situation. I remember my first chemo, plain bottled spring water is a good buy as your taste goes funny but you want to keep drinking and I found it great by the side of the bed as I could just have a sip as and when. Thinking of you tomorrow and all the best.

Hi, you're not gonna believe this, but they forgot to schedule her echo BEFORE the first day of chemo (i think it's to get a baseline before herceptin) so we got there and they said it had to be postponed a week! I was so mad for a few reasons, but mainly because I used sick days at work so I could be there for her that week. Ugh....... so I'll have to answer next week. Thanks so much for asking! 🙂

Oh! boy someone dropped the ball! yes that is very frustrating, especially when you have to take time off of work and were anticipating getting chemo that day… sorry about that! well I wish you all the best on your first day, it’s not easy but just try to relax and think this is what is needed and it’s temporary! How many rounds do you have to do? I did 12, once a week and it was a lot, but finally got through it. I have 3 herceptin shots to go 🙏🏽

again all the best! bring lots of water, healthy snacks and something warm to wear unless they provide you with blankets 👍🏽 you got this!

hi, chemo was tuesday (finally!). she felt pretty normal for a day or so. then for 2 days very tired, achy, and flu-like. took one zofran for a little nausea and that helped right away. so, nothing as horrible as i was imagining. one down, five to go. thank you for your thoughts and caring. 💜
