I've finally signed onto this site. My diagnosis: Triple negative breast cancer, stage 1, lymph nodes clear, seroma formation in armpit drained 3x. (the last time in January). I've stopped by here while in treatment but was too afraid to voice my worry during treatment. I'm now post surgery 10 months with radiation and chemo finished in late Nov 2019. I'm wondering if the tingling in my big toe under my nail is from chemo or a leftover from a broken blood vessel under my toenail from right before surgery. Also have fleeting pain across my torso, mostly on the side of surgery. How long does this last? My last mammo was clear but I haven't had my latest scheduled follow up because of covid.

Hi, I'm new here.
Hi I am 8 months post end treatment and get pain in my ribs and shoulder from radiotherapy. Mainly when working in the garden in lockdown (Or exercising) but also odd twinges too. My husband is a radiologist and he reassures that bone pain near the site is very common and last much longer than people think.... apparently much better in recent years as the therapy is so much more accurate- less lung scarring etc. My wound still hurts when exercising includes anything like a run step- but so so much better now (lumpectomy Only). Good luck and keep safe xxx
Thanks so much for your encouragement. I wonder if the pneumonia I had in late December was related to radiation or chemo or both? A few women I spoke to had pneumonia during or after treatment. I suppose it's a result of both. Can't help but wonder if it was covid related too.
Stay safe and be well.
Hi
I have stage 2A TNBC. Treatment finished March, 2017. I experienced the zings in my chest for about 18 months post treatment. Gone now. I do have permanent neuropathy in parts of my feet and hands, and I have brief pain in my feet occasionally. Since I know the cause, I do not worry. I think that I am so much better now, than just after treatment. Keep on living, try to exercise, and stay connected. There are so many in this group that can encourage you and share their journey.
I'm TNBC too. I did mastectomies and chemo followed by reconstruction. I'm 4 years post chemo and my big toe still hurts and nail looks funky but not fungus. I do have neuropathy from the chemo and found vitamin b complex helps. I didn't have the seroma issue. Stay strong.
Thanks for the b-complex tip. 4 years out is great. Probably past recurrance.
