My gentleman friend is 74 , he is unable to control his peeing esp at night. Poor man wears large pads and has to change his bed frequently. I read it happens when we get older and when muscles get weak. Feel for anyone with this condition. Exercise could be the answer - or more sex!

uncontrollable peeing at night
Has he discussed his symptoms with his doctor? This needs to be investigated in order to determine a better solution for him.
If he hasn’t already, he should definitely discuss this with his doctor in case there’s anything more serious afoot.
I’ve suffered this since becoming ill with TB meningitis after suffering some nerve damage at the base of my spine. I now don’t empty my bladder each time I urinate.
I sleep really heavily and would go through periods of bed wetting which is uber embarrassing.
I was referred to a urologist who after completing urodynamics diagnosed an over active contracting bladder when I’m sleeping.
I have been prescribed
Solifenacin 10mg tablets which stops my bladder pushing out urine unless I intentionally go to toilet. May be worth mentioning to your urologist
Visiting Doc' should be first port of call but to help in meantime try some simple exercises.Drink more water to help flush system, during day when you need to go, try and hold on a little longer each time. This should help to retrain your bladder.
You can also try kegal exercises. Basically contract your muscles like when you go to pee, stop and hold for a second or two. You can do this at anytime.
There are much better descriptions around than I could give
Good luck
