Stage IIa Non-Seminola Testicular Cancer

I've just been diagnosed exactly a week ago. Had an orchiectomy done 6 days ago. Got my CT scan back today to hear it's spread to a couple lymph nodes in my groin.

What can I expect? Share your stories, feedback, info, etc. My biggest fear is uncertainty, and your words of wisdom help more than you know.

You may have to have the lymph nodes removed. That is likely to be followed with chemo because of the involvement of the lymphatic system.

Researchers are trying to find ways to reduce chemo side effects.

A clinical study was conducted on a group of patients who were believed to be at risk of the cancer recurrence, in the study they were given just a single course of chemotherapy. In which the researchers found that cancer had recurred in only 1.3 percent of men, which is almost the same as those who undergo the standard two cycles of chemo.
