Hello everyone, I am a new member of this site and wanted to introduce myself, I don’t know how much you are supposed to put about yourself on here but I am a male in the UK, suffered heart attack x2 in March 2004, resulted in double bypass. All went well until 2012 when I went in to VT, now have an ICD fitted
I am obese this is partly due to the above and chronic lower back pain and laziness which makes it difficult with mobility and exercise, I am now 19st and I should be between 9st -12st. I have just found some self-motivation to try and lose this weight and get fitter, I hope the motivation lasts
And the pain does not take over, I do struggle with my diet as I don’t eat at the correct times and don’t eat often, I’m a binge eater so I will also have to train my thoughts in order to succeed
Well that’s me folks.

Hi, regarding weight loss it is not how much you eat or even excessive exercise that will solve your obesity problem. Focus on what you eat and the rest will take care of itself. My own personal experience and the science backs this up, the weight loss industry will however try and persuade you otherwise. The overall advice is only eat REAL food and rule out all simple carbs. You are obviously on the internet so google simple carbs and complex carbs whats the difference and examples. Whether you choose a Paleo low carb high fat route or a whole food plant based path is up to you but both will result in maintainable weight loss. Do not count calories
