I think you mean it needs to be < 30 ie less than 30. Mine came in at 32 which I admit is a long way of yours but here is how I dropped it to 18.

First of all lots of Vit C, in my case a grapefruit with breakfast, kiwi fruit on my porrdige and a 1000mg Vit C supp ech day.

Cut right down on simple carbs, in fact cut them out if you can. Pasta, bread, cakes, pasties all have to go. Eat lots of veggies

You could also combine Vit C with Lysine and Proline as per the Linus Pauling theory. His view is that Lp(a) is produced becasue we are unable to produce our own Vit C.

Kril Oil tabs may also help

Mark160 your post is very encouraging to me as I am basically following the Pauling / Rath recommendations. The fact you have lowered your LPA from 32 to 18 fills me with hope that I am on the right path. This is a conversation condensed, that I had with my GP yesterday. I informed him that I would like my LPA tested sighting the steps I had taken to reduce it . He is of the opinion nothing has been proved re LPA and CVD. feeling a bit indignant at his reply or lack of it , I asked him if he could explain why I had been on Statins for at least 15 years and sighted my calcium score galloping from 383 in ten years to almost 900 which resulted in 3 vessel blockages which required CABG . Well you were on a low dose, if you had been on 40mg it wouldn't have got to that. I get so frustrated at the medical profession who just have one set believe in the management of CVD. I see my cardio next month and I will be insisting on my LPA being tested.

Johnally i inderstand how it is very frustrated to be on statins but the only thing is statines is the only one reducing my CRP and cardiovascular disease is about inflammation I think What will reduce inflamation other than statines ? Looking for it have a nice day

Raoudha I am no expert in this and there are so many conflicting stories it is hard to decipher the best course to take. With regard to CRP my levels were ok on and off statins . I have recently read that statins in protecting the arteries ie stabilizing the plaque actually speed up the blockages by way of continual patching of the artery . I believe this is what happened to me. I put my faith in Linus Pauling's theory of Vit C taken with Proline and Lysine which hopefully will remove the LPA and retard the plaque. There is a good video presentation from Mathis Rath on this subject . I am also on a plant based diet and no sugar or processed food. Kind regards Johnally
