Trouble wirh Statins!

I had my MI almost four ago to the day, I have complained to doc for some time about feeling achy, having sore muscles , stiffness and heartburn, he put me on 60 mg. of Dexilent for the heartburn, works great btw. but is reluctant to change the statin because my LDL is still high, last round of blood work showed elevated CK emzymes, still doc was reluctant to cha ge statin dosage, finally just last week he has decided to prescripe Repatha because Im not obtaining ideal results on the max dosage of Atrovastatin, just waiting for my insurance to approve it, hoping for good results even though my doc wants to keep the stain at half the dosage 40 mg instead of 80mg with the Repatha, it's a start,

Seems your doctor would be aware of the side effects of statins. Achy muscles is #1.

Hi, Check out side effects on accompanying info inside the box .By noticing mine as wasn't in the dosset box I realised the pins & needles that had become a real problem at night directly related to simvastatin & its interaction with my other medications .Once I stopped never had them since but just transferred to another statin.Good luck!
