My mum had a heart attack a week ago

She has had a stent fitted. She neededicated cpr she is now home awaiting to here from cardio rehabilitation. She has come home with left ventricular failure. Her left side isn't pumping properly. Are they anyone here with this I worry that she could have another attack. Will this improve. She is only 58

No I don't have experience with the left ventricular failure. However I do have personal experience with a heart attack and the worry after it about having another one. The best thing that has worked for me is to just take it one day at a time. The other thing that made a big difference for me was to get to a place in my mind to make it OK that if the worst happened and I died or I had another one and I was disabled because of it that I would accept that. Mind you I would never want any of that to happen, and if it did I could be ok with it. I wish you peace and am so sorry this has happened in your lives.

I know you posted this a few weeks ago now and hope your mum is improving. I hD a sudden cardiac arrest 9 years ago and needed cpr and had left ventricular problems. Just to say i made a 98% recovery over the following 6 months to a year. It was a long haul but when I got all the medication cut by at least half I began to improve. I hope your mum is feeling better. I felt i had made it when I could go out on my bike again.
