Buprenorphine

I'm British and live in Greece. Over the years my rls has got worse and worse. I have a flat in the uk (it's rented out) and pay tax there but I don't have a GP. I don't know if I'm allowed to register with one. Could I go to a private doctor for buprenorphine and if so how could I get the prescription. Jools says it's not too expensive, how much would a private visit cost in the UK. They won't prescribe buprenorphine in Greece. Would someone else be allowed to pick up my prescription or do you have to show identification. Thanks everyone for so much help

If you are a UK 'resident' you can register at a UK GP surgery with proof of address.You could also pay £300 to see a neurologist privately. But a private prescription is only allowed for a month. So you would have to discuss fully with a neurologist to see whether someone else could collect and pay for your prescription every month.

Then you have the issue of posting a controlled drug to Greece.

Greece will have laws on tourists taking Buprenorphine into Greece.

I suggest you start researching and writing/talking to a private consultant.

There would be a lot of hoops to jump through.

Yes, unfortunately I know. It's even illegal to bring other codeine into Greece. My hands are tied.
