Tonight at 6.30 there will be a television piece on BBC South at 6.30.
There was also a radio news article at 8.15 this morning on Radio Solent.
Hopefully, this will all help to raise awareness of Impulse Control Disorder on dopamine agonists and the total lack of teaching and knowledge amongst doctors.
I agree this needs to be raised but looking at some of the proposed coverage I feel very anxious that it will just be sensationalised and make RLS even more of a joke amongst those who don't understand.

The public takes ZERO interest in any story about RLS and augmentation. Yes it's sensational. But this affects up to 38% of patients and is vastly under reported.Patients do not make the link to the medication because ICD can happen YEARS after they are first taken.
If these stories improve medical knowledge and force change- which they have done- then that is fantastic.
And well done to all those affected and willing to share their stories.
It's extremely brave and has helped millions of other RLS sufferers.
These recent articles have embarrassed UK NICE and RCGPs to change guidance and announce RLS will be taught from August 2025
That is ENORMOUS news.
And all thanks to people willing to share their suffering.
