🤸‍♀️ A GOOD nights sleep!!

Pregablin at 8pm & Codeine at 10pm after a hot shower. …. As my head touched the pillow I was gone! I woke up at 8:20am Absolutely wonderful!!! After years of insomnia on dopamine agonists this is bliss. It’s worth the groggy feelings this morning. I know the side effects will pass in time.. I am going to help myself and get out & walk in the fresh air. … I feel blessed today!

It's wonderful to get a decent night's sleep isn't it? You suddenly feel alive again, as your post clearly shows ☺️☺️. Really hoping this continues for you.

what amount do f Pragabalin and codeine do you take, it sounds wonderful.

Hublot I have started on Pregablin 75mg at 8pm but will need to up it by 25mg every week until I find a dose that enables me to drop the codeine. The Pregablin can take up to 3 weeks to work well. In the meantime I take codeine 60mg at bedtime (10pm) but will reduce as I up the Pregabalin . This is all only suitable once you have completely stopped any dopamine agonists!! I do get some daytime twinges still but they disappear if I move around.. Initially I was taking 60mg codeine 6hourly but since starting the Pregablin only need it at bedtime.

I see, I’m on 450 Pragabalin I’m going into hospital tomorrow for an operation and post op in hospital and proceeding weeks the only pain relief I will be allowed to take is codeine, but someone did tell me that codeine is good for RLS and my thoughts were that I would like to reduce the Pragabalin if codeine works.

Apparently you can just take codeine for RLS.. It certainly works well for me but my fear is that if my body gets used to it & it stops working so well then I have nothing to fall back on. However it would certainly make sense in hospital as pain relief & keeping RLS at bay. That’s all I had after my brain op but I was still using a 2mg Neupro Patch. Hope your op goes well!

Thank you for the advice.

That’s fantastic! I’m a bit envious though, as codeine gives me major insomnia.

So sorry to hear that!! Insomnia is horrendous especially with RLS..

I'm having a similar experience after years of constant nocturnal walkabouts with severe RL but since being prescribed Pregabalin am sleeping deeply& without being disturbed.Im on 125mg nightly & occasionally have to up it to 150mg if I feel the surges breaking through &am able to settle back again- bliss!
