Hello again!

My neupro patch works many times but there also times that it doesnt and have awful nights. For example i had rls for a week and then totally stopped for 15 days. Then rls appeared again and its about 4 days now that i experience rls attacks.Yesterday it was really bad! So i would like to ask you if you do have rls attacks despite the usual success of your medication.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post!!

I do. But by far not as bad and not as often as your describe. No more than is taken care of by some 10-20min of walking, stretching etc.

No maybe once a month and I think that like everything in life it could be defective but if you stop it will continue to work but if you stop the rls creeps back what dose are you on I need a 3mg Ropinorole at night if not I won’t fall asleep not due to the rls it’s just because I’m hyper

2mg for about a year.

Hi Katerina, I note a few days ago that you seemed to be saying that you removed the patch for several hours during the day, if that was, and still is the case then it won't be effective.

You need to leave it on all the time.

If you are leaving it on all the time and it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, then you need to look at other factors, e.g. anything that might make your RLS worse. i.e. "triggers".

It could be alcohol, caffeine, cough medicine or even something you've eaten. If you keep a diary then you might be able to see a pattern or connection between your RLS and something else.

Thank you!!I dont remove the patch!!The result is awful!!Thanks for the advice!

Sorry if not removing the patch is awful. I can appreciate your frustration and apparent anger.

If they're not controlling you RLS then there is something else going on.

OK, I misunderstood.

Katerina i see you stopped taking Prami after weaning off it a year ago, because you augmented on it Now you are on the patch another dopamine med, So i hope you are not in the start of augmentation again.

Hi Katerina, I sympathasize with you. Im back on mirapexin because it seems to be the only med that works. I also take 150gr preg with it. Every month I stop mirapexin and take 3 days tramadol in the hope that I dont augment. Its not perfect usually my fault for drinking wine and I cant sleep so I walk around, drink a coffee which for some reason helps. I rub my legs with lavender oil and eventually fall asleep. Again its my fault if I dont sleep as soon as I go to bed and watch something on my tablet. Sorry u r feeling bad and hope soon it gets better

Hi Katrina

I get RLS mainly at night before I go to bed & usually my Balneum cream works but sometimes in the night (particularly if the weather has been extremely warm it sometimes doesnt so I have to resort to putting more than what it says on the tube for it to settle

Hi Katerina,

Sorry to hear you are having these problems.

I used the neupro patch for a while. I found the coverage patchy (no pun intended). Like you, it worked well for me sometimes and at others I had symptoms. This continued even when I increased the dose. Eventually I stopped it - partly because of the inconsistent results and partly because of irritation caused by the patch.

Madlegs may have a point though (surely the most succinct ever made). Look out for triggers. I hope things improve - you deserve a break.
