I think something is helping my restless legs

i normally get restless legs on an evening and tended to go to bed early as thankfully for me in bed it stops. The past couple of weeks I have been staying up later and have had none of the usual discomfort. I started taking a supplement for my arthritis about 3 weeks ago and it has reduced my pain greatly, now wondering if it is helping the restless legs as well. The supplement is called Hyaluronic acid. Is it on any list of stuff that is helpful. Has anybody else taken it?

I am not aware of it helping RLS. It helps joints. I take it for that. But hey if it helps, that's great.

If it reduces inflammation, it may well reduce RLS symptoms.Brilliant.

Long may it continue.

Thank you.

Reducing inflammation will not just reduce the symptoms but the cause of RLS. A supplement which reduces inflammation is not guaranteed to work forever if you continue to eat foods which cause the inflammation in the first place.

In my case foods didn't cause inflammation. A virus ( Epstein Barr) did. And, as viruses stay hidden in cells throughout the body- getting rid of the inflammation is very difficult.

Certain foods cause inflammation in everyone, the fact that you have a virus will only add to that inflammation. Adequate levels of zinc, vitamin D and magnesium will help to keep the virus in remisson as will avoiding stress.

Teaching granny to suck eggs Eryl. I've been on 10,000iu of Vit D with vit K, magnesium & zinc for 30 years. And, as you well know, I followed extremely restricted diets for decades.

And it made zero difference to my MS or my RLS.

You just happen to be one of the minority who has successfully found the cause/trigger for your RLS.

Desertoasis found hers. She takes ferrous bisglycinate at night.

I could insist that if you stopped your diet and took ferrous bisglycinate at night- your RLS would disappear.

But I won't. Because it wouldn't work for you.
