Buprenorphine and nausea

Retiredandrestless profile image

if my Dr does prescribe Buprenorphine tomorrow in the US they come in 0.4 or 0.8mg. Is there a nausea medication if I get nauseated? I really really don't enjoy that. Thanks

Zofran (ondansetron). I used medical cannabis oil with 20% THC. Cancer patients on chemo use it.It stopped the nausea almost immediately. I took cannabis oil for a week, then slowly reduced dose to 0.1ml over the next week, then stopped.

The nausea had completely gone.

Good luck.

I believe in the US Buprenorphine only comes in 2mg and 8 mg. You have to cut them to get your correct dose. Start with 1/4 of 2 mg. And build as needed. Zofran ( Ondansetron) is good for Audra and doesn’t seem to affect RLS. The nausea will fade over time. Aim for the lowest effective dose
