Vanderbilt RLS Quality Care Center

I just joined the Restless Leg Foundation and wow!!! What a wealth of information there. I found out about the RLS Quality Care Centers on the website. Vanderbilt is only 3 hours away from where I live in TN. Does anyone have experience with them? I’m trying to find a complete list of doctors that work out of their QCC so I can check with my insurance to see if they’re in my network. Any direct phone number to that center? I can’t find a direct number online. Thank you so much.

Vanderbilt is excellent. You are lucky you live in Tennessee. They will probably let you do teleconference after seeing you in person once.

google.com/search?client=fi... gives the doctors names.

Dr Walters is the head.

To make an appointment, call 1-615-936-0060.

I live 2 hours from Vanderbilt and I have my first appointment Monday. They gave me the option of Telehealth rather than in person. Im excited to see what they recommend for me. My BCBSTN covers it.

That’s so amazing…very excited for you! How long did it take for you to get an appointment? Which doctor are you seeing?

I’m seeing Dr Upender. I had a two week wait.

Excellent. Is he part of the RLS Quality Care Center then?

wow, thanks for this post. I’m moving to northern Georgia this week and finding new RLS care was on my list. Best of luck to you!

I have been a patient there for 15 years. My only problem is that I live 15 miles over the Tennessee state line and they cannot prescibe opioids out of state.

I had that same problem with a doctor in Florida who is an excellent doctor who treats RLS patients and prescribes opioids for RLS (the very same medicine that I take for RLS) but couldn't prescribe my RLS medicine (an opioid) because I live in South Carolina and they have a rule that they can't prescribe opioids out of state. Very frustrating! So I had to start over and finally found a doctor in my area who is able to prescribe my RLS medicine and is treating me for my RLS.

I spend part of the year in Florida. I’m curious as to name of MD that you’ve seen there.

Dr. Nura Festic at Jacksonville Sleep Center.

Yes it is so frustrating when 6this happens. Kentucky physicians do not understand and only a personal friend is helping me. I was willing to go to any physician in the state. I believe this is an issue that rls foundation is working on. I Def support them.
