Has anyone had severe flare up of RLS after taking Nytol with Valerian root, or was it coincidental?

In the UK Nytol Herbal, Nytol Herbal once-a-night or Nytol Herbal Elixir would generally all be considered safe for RLS.

(On the other hand Nytol Original, Nytol once-a-night, and Nytol Liquid Caramel all use sedating antihistamine diphenhydramine which often triggers RLS symptoms.)

(NOTE: It is possible that formulations may vary in the US, as they do in some forms of other meds such as Gaviscon)

I have, yes, to both ingredients. I think some of us thought we’re a minority, do react to all the drugs and supplements that are considered ‘safe’ by other sufferers. I don’t tolerate almost anything that has a calming effect on most people.

That’s interesting, I try to avoid drugs but pain at night keeps me awake.
