Well it’s 3:30 am here in Georgia USA and have been awake since about 2:30 but I went to sleep around 9:00 so that’s good for me. The ropinorole is still working thank God. Just wanted to update how things are going. I go Wednesday to see dr. Cooper but honestly I’m not very hopeful. I feel like he will be just like any other neurologist but I’ll find out Wednesday. I have contacted Andrew Berkowski at relacs health who got back with me very quickly who said that everything he does is telehealth which is fine with me but I have to be in the closest state that he is licensed in which would be Florida. This sounds good but is expensive with the initial visit costing about $500.00 which I really don’t have but will find if I have too. The other option is the Vanderbilt sleep clinic in Tennessee which is a RLS quality care center but I’m not sure they take my insurance and if not this would not be a viable option. The problem I am going to have is Georgia is very strict with prescription pain medication so I’m afraid this will be an issue if I go out of state. Thank you everyone for your help and support and please keep your fingers crossed that dr Cooper will work with me.

I live in Alabama but see a neurologist out of Vanderbilt in TN. I am able to go to his satalite office in Franklin, it is a hour closer than Nashville. Since I am out of state for Vanderbilt, my neurologist works very well with my primary care doctor. My insurance is accepted at Vanderbilt but they also offer stretching the payments out w/o interest when the cost is too much. So maybe you can ask about paying over time if you feel they will be able to help. I have been very satisified with Vanderbilt and still see them once a year or so. Good luck

If Dr Cooper does not work out that was my next option. Not sure if they take my insurance I would have to check

how is it going? I’m

In GA too. I live in Sugar Hill and my mother suffers very much with RLS. I need to find help for her. How did it go with Dr Cooper? Maybe we will look into Vanderbilt. We are desperate for help. 😥

Hey there! I live in Cumming so we are close! I searched everywhere for a doctor that knew how to treat RLS and I was making plans to go to Vanderbilt and I thought I would give Emory one more try and I am glad I did ! They recommended Dr. Kendall Nichols so I made an appointment with him at Emory’s office on Druid hills rd in Atlanta and I am so glad I did !! He is very good ! My daughter and I spent over an hour with him and talked in depth about my situation and together we came up with a plan to get me off Ropinirole and stop the augmentation. He is a God send. Call (404) 712-7533 and make an appointment you will not regret it. Don’t go to Dr Cooper. He is a good doctor no doubt but he does not know enough about RLS to help you. Good luck and tell your mom to not give up. Dr Nichols will help!
