Just to say thank you to Joolz, Sue and Lotte for your really helpful replies re this.
I am beginning to realise how dehydration affects my RLS really badly. But I think I need something else. These views are so helping me and I think my neurologist and GP would be amenable to change!
Thank you and best wishes.

Interesting! I discovered this when severely dehydrated following a stomach bug ('both ends' as they say!). I had drunk lots of water but minerals etc lost. Legs were in a terrible state that night (way worse than usual). Once I used a re-hydration sachet all fine the next evening.
I've ordered a powder recommended by a friend - I'm abroad so won't get it just yet, but in the meantime have my Mum on it and can hugely see the difference in her. Can send a pic of the brand if helpful :-). Apparently many of us are deficient!
For electrolytes - consider simple sea salt in water. I use 1/4 tsp in a 20 oz. water bottle. Use Himalaya salt (no micro plastic). For Potassium you can use Cream of Tartar. This is also the "Adrenal Cocktail" from the Root Cause Protocol. Commercial electrolyte blends - I have used Hammer Nutrition, endurolyte extreme.
