I have read that acupuncture is believed to stimulate those parts of the brain that are involved in RLS. Has anyone here tried it?

Acupuncture for RLS?
If you use the search feature, type in Acupuncture and click on My Communities, you will find a few old postings on what you are asking.
Tried it many years ago & spent a lot of money to achieve zero. It didn’t work & I haven’t read of anyone else having success with it.
I've tried acupuncture a couple of times with great success.
After two treatments my neuropathic pain was much better and I'd recommend it for that.
It did nothing for my RLS however.
I tried it for three months. At first I thought it was doing something, I felt different, but in the end, despite trying lots of different needle placements, it achieved nothing.
Not cheap either!
Starting this Saturday. My neurologist said to expect 6 sessions according to information from China.
I tried acupuncture daily for 14 days by a Chinese doctor
I have also tried about 6 different Accupunture practitioners unfortunately Zero change except my purse feels a lot lighter .
Hi,
Since some two months now, i have been very good experience, not exactly with acunpunture, but with an equivalent tecchnique of acupressures (EFT ...emotion freedom therapy....see website of Gary craig or Dawson Church, to learn How to aply yourself).
It is not the cure yet, however i have been able to completely tame the syntoms (within maximum 15 minutes) when i wake up in the middle of the night (the worst time for me). Very happy with the results thus Far; no medication at all.
Good luck!
I had about eight sessions, including cups, but it didn't help me at all. It was a group of Chinese practitioners and it was difficult to leave the premises without heavy pressure to buy herbal preparations and to make further appointments. In the end after the last treatment, to be able to get out of the door I made a another appointment which I had no intention of keeping.
I also had acupuncture at another, more agreeable practice, also to no avail. I spent almost £300 altogether.
I have tried it as well. I had success for 2 nights if I had it 2 days in a row. This happened twice and then failed . So I wouldn’t call it successful I’m sorry to say .
I also tried it with no success. I found that it exacerbated my symptoms and I couldn’t hold still at all.
I live in California so I have access to some really good Chinese medicine practitioners. I have been to many Acupuncture practitioners, as well as Chinese herbal specialists. They all, without exception, promised that they could help. They were all wrong.
So no acupuncture then.. 😫
