if you look at my back story you’ll see that I try to control my RLS by my diet. This generally work to some degree but I dread long haul flights. Is there anything I could take/do to help me with this flight. It’s trough the night and I have a drive to make after landing. Thanks guys

long haul flight
I watch the tv-- films and shows.
If you aren't on any medication, then you could try some codeine.
Avoid sleeping pills, as they can have unfortunate side effects in planes. Especially if mixed with alcohol.
Others will have a view on diazepam or suchlike.
Good luck.
Book your flight for early in the day and book an aisle seat so you can get up and walk around and preferably an emergency exit or bulkhead. Pack activities that serve as distractions. If you belong to the Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation, download the Restless Legs Syndrome Special Accommodations Card to give to the flight attendant. You can join for $40 even if you don't live in the US and it is well worth it. RLS-UK also has a medical alert card available to members for things like flights. Otherwise be sure to talk to the flight attendant and explain that you will be walking a lot. You don't take any medicine but you might consider taking .5 mg of ropinirole JUST for the flight.
A one off low dose opioid for the flight would work.
I used CBD oil, gummies plus Therapulse on long haul flight to Australia....but on return flight took Zopiclone sleeping tablet..prescription...took 7.5 g and was knocked out till I got back to Heathrow. Don't recommend sleeping tablets but desperate measures etc..
Ask your doctor for a prescription just for the flight. My doctor gave me Carbidopa-Levidopa to take in addition to my regular dose of Ropinerole, and it was helpful.
Only thing that works for me is buprenorphine..Sleeping tablets for me a disaster, esp zopiclone.
