RLS Relief
I assume you meant .75 mg. That is 1 and a half times the maximum amount for RLS. Did you start with that amount or work up to that dose when lower doses didn't work?
Absolutely crazy amount dose. I presume you mean .75. -- which is still far too high . Unless you have Parkinson?
Agree with Sue( just seen her reply)
I assume this is a new development for you. There is still time to turn around your treatment - DAs (Pramipexole and ropinirole) - sure they COULD work great - 'till they turn into the Devil and make your RLS Soooo much worse with a condition called augmentation! First line treatment is NOT a Dopamine Agonist like Pramipexole. Read about augmentation and iron on the pinned posts (top right). Here is the Mayo Clinic information perhaps to show your doctor...

hi i like your reply you just cannot withdraw from pramipexole once you are on it so dont take it. its easier with pregabalin and its easier to reduce your doses i have been on lyrica for 11 yrs prescribed them for periphial nueropathy and i might add i didnt have restless legs then i didnt get restless legs or treatment until i had my thyroid removed..
my restless legs syndrome started in 1957. suffered in silence until 2007 , then went to see a consultant neurologist who prescribed 88mgs tablet of pramipexole. once per day. immediate effect. went to see a consultant neurologist in 2020 as i was now taking three 0.18 mg with six co-codamol pain killers i felt that i needed a change. it was recommended that i try a number of different medication, all of which created bad side effects. i am now taking four pramipexole and six co-codamol . this just keeps the restless legs under control. i am now 82 years of age. regards pete.
That's an increase in pramipexole from what you were taking not too long ago and that's a sign of augmentation. You can certainly stay on that but if you feel you need to increase it again, that's definitely a sign of augmentation. The amount you are taking is the maximum amount.
