Early days but thanks

Good news Auldreekie. I have been on pregabalin for about 7 years so it certainly does go the distance.

I'm on 300mg pregabalin. I also take a small dose of clonazepam but not always.

I have 7 years to go - I am 76- I have recently upped the Tramadol dose from 100mg to 150mg (3 capsules) and sleeping well. I hope all ok for the next 10 years!!!I will be having a blood test to ensure my iron levels are satisfactory ie Ferritin, Iron Saturation, transferrin saturate Iron Binding!!!

I have been on 100mg Tramadol and 1200mg Gabapentin for about 8-10 years but it isn’t working as well now and I am struggling. I am wary of increasing Tramadol to 150gm as I don’t want Augmentation again. My GP doesn’t want to replace Tramadol with Buprenorphine(?) so suggests I take a holiday from Tramadol and then go back on it. He has increased my Gabapentin to 1800mg to help me through but I need to explain the necessity of slowly decreasing Tramadol over a long period. The increased Gabapentin helped a lot initially but less now and doubt it will be enough. Your experience is very interesting but perhaps early days yet.I am 70 and play walking football weekly with some very perky 80+’s.

Maybe rename yourself ‘NOTSOauldreekie’ and plan on sticking around?

Good luck with the Pregablin!
