I have had restless leg syndrome for over 10 years. I augmented recently on ropinarole and are now taking pregabalin instead. Its early days yet but I seem to be winning the battle from weaning myself of the ropinarole. I have done it slowly and am down to .25mg a day from 3mg a day with the help of pregabalin and tramadol.

Well done! Keep it up.

Do you have a good, ie. knowledgeable doctor? Or one that is willing to listen and pay attention to information you have provided!

Yes I would say my doctor is quite knowledgeable he is a good listener and does seem to know about this condition. It's hard to get to see him though unless you queue up at 7am in the morning to get an appointment. Can I also say I wouldn't have done this without the help of this site. I read all the posts every morning from people and its thanks to Manerva Jools and all the others that regularly reply to help people get through this horrible decease so thanks to you all. Not forgetting Lotte also.

Well done, Blavit.

Could you give us the details? How much pregabalin, have you increased it over time, and what is your goal in terms of P and Tramadol?

Doctor told me to take one 50mg tablet of pregabalin in the morning and on e at night. In between that I take one 50mg tablet of tramadol during the day and another at night and this seems to work. I am still on .25 ropinarole but hope to stop that soon.

Do you have any side-effects from the pregabalin?

No but only been taking it for a few weeks. Before that I was taking gabapentin but that seemed to make my bowels work overtime so went on to pregabalin.
