Having been down the usually road of DA then argumention switching to pregablin bad side effects including the fact that doctors think it maybe responsible for me losing my peripheral tvision . Moving on to zopiclone which help but GP wanted me to come off. Swapped to clonazepam great to start but ceased to work now I had increased dose to 1.50 mg every other day as GP was worried about addiction and didn't want me to take daily. Seems to be causing alterness at night now not sure if this is possible but almost like augmentation.
Have a prescription for targinact but frightened to take have read it can cause insomnia which thanks to the DAs I already struggle with. Any thoughts experiences words of wisdom would be much appreciated as I've reached yet another cross roads and not sure of the direction to take.
Ferritin levels above 100 try to be careful with diet no caffeine chocolate triedtry to avoid sugar seems to make little difference.
Have even tried DAs again out of desperation but they now stop rls but keep me awake.
So any suggestions most welcome
Thank you

It looks like the next step might be to try opioids.
Check out any discussions here on Buprenorphine or such like.
They are not for everyone, and do have initial side effects, but all I can say, is ,that I have been on Oxycontin for about 7 years, and it has been a Lifesaver.
I'm so sorry for your suffering. I think opiods would be a good way to go.Codeine, Tramadol and Morphine have all worked for me. Alternatively you could go down the Gabapentin or Pregabalin. Good luck.
Pregabalin in a few people can cause double vision or blurred vision but a complete search of the literature does not turn up any cases of people losing their peripheral vision. Has that become permanent or did it disappear after you stopped pregabalin?
Unfortunately it has become permanent the eye infirmary are fairly certain that it was the effect of the pregablin as I was having cluster headaches and pains behind my eyes also pains in neck and shoulders. Wish I had stopped taking it sooner as it didn't help a great deal but kept hoping things would settle down. One of the few ! But obviously it helps many others.
Unfortunately pregabalin is known to cause loss of peripheral vision and there are reports on the web. I have macular degeneration which causes loss of central vision leaving only peripheral vision so I would be very unwise to take pregabalin.
drugs.com will show you that loss of peripheral vision can occur with pregabalin treatment. Pregabalin also causes thinning of the retina which you can read about on different sites. There were other sites which mention vision loss but as my vision is not the best I cannot stay on the computer looking for these. However, my hospital macular clinic advised me not to take Pregabalin.
