ANTIBIOTICS AND RLS
If you consider taking an antibiotic to combat the covid, it will not be useful. Covid is caused by a coronavirus and antibiotics do not affect them; they are to treat bacterial infections.
As to the antibiotic effect on RLS, I have no experience of that myself. Abd I have not hears from others reporting increased RLS while on an antibiotic treatment.
Get well soon!
I’ve never noticed my RLS symptoms worsening when taking antibiotics. As LotteM has said, there’s no point in taking an antibiotic, ie something that kills bacterial infections, for a virus. Take some paracetamol or whatever you’d normally take to help if you have a bad cold, and I hope you feel better soon.
Fyi - I was on a strong antibiotic in December and it had no effect on RLS.
Thank you Richard, as it happens there is no A/biotics given for Covid it was a nightmare, when i could hardly get my legs to move and the RLS insisted i get up, however kept taking tramadol as well and that helped, as i couldn't jump out the window when i felt like it, as i am only on the first floor
Its as virus. There is no antibiotic for viruses.
oh no not at all ha them all thank heavens would have hated to fell the full force of Covid without them
Oh I have had all vaccines, would hate to know how it would go without them, feeling very poorly, but lived 78 years going on 79 without knowing what flu is so, cant complain, just feel sorry for myself
