That's great the CBD works for you.
I wouldn't be concerned about augmentation. Augmentation has not been associated with CBD.
In the context of RLS, augmentation is specific to dopaminergic medications (rotigotine, pramipexole, and ropinirole) and Tramadol.
Augmentation is defined as a worsening of RLS symptoms that occurs after starting a dopaminergic medication to treat RLS. The medication is effective when it's first started, but over time symptoms worsen or return to what symptoms were like prior to starting the treatment.
It may be that you're referring to tolerance. Tolerance occurs when a regular user of a drug gradually becomes less responsive to the drug. This can often lead to the person requiring larger amounts of the drug to achieve the same effect.
This can happen with cannabis use.
When you say CBD, it's not clear whether you're referring to cannabis, CBD oil (with or without THC), gummies etc.
Cannabis has never been associated with augmentation regarding RLS. I concur with Amrob's reply to you.
I agree with Amrob and TheDoDahMan. It’s great CBD works for you and augmentation isn’t a concern! CBD is probably the most benign form of medicated treatment for RLS. If only all of us could be that lucky! And if you happen to build a tolerance, Willie Nelson and Snoop Dog are living proof that even full THC in excessive amounts seems fine. Meaning you should feel very comfortable with CBD, even if you ultimately have to increase your amount a bit.
