Has anyone had any experience of a herbal Restful Legs? I'm thinking of trying it to supplement the 0.5 Roplnerole and reduce my RSL symptoms that is only moderate but I don't want to fall into the trap of like having taking Nytol that sent my RSL ballistic! So anyone taken Restful Legs without any unpleasant side effects?

Many people day they help. They're homeopathy so won't make it worse. If you're on Ropinirole, you shouldn't need anything else to help? Has the Ropinirole stopped working?

Hi.

By all means try the remedy.

However be aware that no herbal supplement has ever been shown to work for RLS.

If you're not happy that the ropinirole is being effective then consider the following -

1) Iron therapy is a treatment for RLS because iron deficiency is the main cause.

2) Avoid aggravating factors, things that make RLS worse.

The main ones are other medications, e.g. sedating antihistamines (as contained in Nytol), but there are many others.

Diet can also be a factor.

3) If the ropinirole has stopped working, do NOT agree to increasing the dose. This could make things worse.

Think instead about reducing the ropinirole and replacing it with an alternative e.g. gabapentin or pregabalin.

Dopamine agonists such as ropinirole are no longer the first recommendation for RLS.

Yes, I take two Hylands Restful Legs homeopathic tablets each night along with my prescriptions and a bunch of other supplements or teas, for instance, valerian root or chamomile tea. I'd say it helps some. With having severe RLS I never know what kind of night I will have.

I take Restful Legs PM if I wake up in the middle of the night with symptoms of RLS. It seems to help settle the symptoms and I’m able to go back to sleep. I have severe RLS and take Gabapentin every evening. Restful Legs wouldn’t replace the Gaba but it’s one of several things I do to help manage the RLS. After tracking my diet I have definitely found a connection with eating carbs/sugar and increased symptoms.

I agree with RKM7 - Before I got on gabapentin Hylands Restful Legs was my only remedy. Now it's an occasional use supplement. I dissolve 2-3 tablets under the tongue if needed. Every little bit helps...
