Hi, I have had RLS for a very long time, over 25 years I am 72 now, I worked as a printer on night shift for40 years, I am retired now I do not sleep much at night with my legs and arms on the move, I have found over the years when my RLS gets really bad, to get up and do something physical, no way can I read a book, legs and arms on the move, I some times go for a walk ,I have been on pramipexole for all these years, I also take , curcumin, magnesium, calcium, vitamin D3, iron tablets, & omega fish oils, . after reading from members of there problems with pramipexole I do not know what I would be like with out it, I do not seem to suffer with any side affects, it is quite frightening to come off pramipexole will it get worse my RLS if I come off them very slowly I must say, I have been to the doctor quite a few times over the years, I have been to see doctors in hospital for tests a few times, but not found anything to do with RLS, so I carry on I try try to cope, all the best.

Pramipexole & RLS
You are very fortunate to have such a good experience with long term Pramipexol. What dose are you on? Have you felt the need to increase the dose because of it not working as well as it used to?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
👍
You say you do not know how you will be without pramipexole.
From what you write, I can only imagine that if you withdraw from pramipexole, you will probably be better off than you are now.
I will write in more detail later.
Barry welcome to the site. If you've been on Pramipexole for 25 years, you may be suffering augmentation. Read the Pinned Post and see if it rings any bells. What dose are you on?
Further.
I have to say, you are the second member I've come across in the last 24 hours who is a victim of the medical ignorance surrounding pramipexole.
I'm not sure how long you've been suffering as you are doing now, but the current cause of this is the pramipexole.
From what you write it is highly likely you are suffering dopaminergic augmentation caused by taking a dopamine agonist (DA) such as pramipexole.
You will be better off withdrawing from pramipexole than you are now.

I would write exactly the same to you, if I hadn't already written to somebody else a few hours ago.
