Has anyone had this symptom?

In the morning when I first get up, my right hand has small involuntary movements when I hold something like my coffee cup. It goes away within the hour. I take 1400 mg of gabapentin and wonder if this is a side effect.

Sue, I take Pregabalin which is the same group of drug as Gabapentin and I have definitely developed mild to significant hand tremors in both hands at different times of the day. I also have a friend who refuses to take Pregabalin because it caused her moderate hand tremors as well.

Thank you. I was beginning to worry I will developing Parkinsons which runs in the family. You have relieved my mind.

Doesn't mean you should rule out Parkinson's, your tremors might not be medication related and therefore, particularly if Parkinson's runs in your family you really should see your doctor about having some tests if there are any available. Medications are just one option you should be looking at. Good luck.

Hi Sue I take 900mg of Gabapentin three times a day, and yes I have a tremor, not all the time but occasionally. I too was worried about Parkinson’s as it’s in the family. Good luck

I was taking 1500 Gabepentin a day and also had tremors. I found 900/day worked just as well, without the major tremors in my hands!
