I have this main symptom in my left calf muscle, and the whole of my abs wall 24/7. Tiny muscle contractions that I can see and feel, feels like pin pricks, the spasms vary in intensity throughout the day. Exercise triggers it.
All bloods and tests came back clear. Had no diagnosis, suspecting RLS or BFS.
Does anyone else have this symptom please ?

RLS is having the urge to move your legs an urge you cant resist. Symptoms vary with people the feeling of ants running in yours legs creepy. crawling feeling electric shocks or pain deep in the calves. Some people find it hard to describe their symptoms. But the the important part for a diagnosis is the urge to move and not just you move you legs to get them more comfortable. Have you looked up BFS ?
Thank you ! I move my legs to get them comfortable , I do not have the "urge" to move them, that you are talking about and obviously there is a difference ? Other than that all the other sensations are the same, my main symptom is the relentless tiny muscle contractions which can be felt and are visible.
Thank you. It appears I dont have anything wrong with me other than these horrible symptoms, my muscle and nerves must be exhausted. Sorry to here you have this via your MS. Is there anything you do that helps ?
Thanks, but honestly, my MS is controlled very well and is nothing compared to severe RLS. That's why this disease needs more research, funding and treatment. But it's good that you don't have RLS.
Ensure you get blood tests to show any mineral deficiencies.
Thats good to hear. My blood tests all came back ok, they were actually also testing me for Stiff Persons Syndrome, which was a bit scary. I go between thinking its RLS, or BFS , the spasms are non stop and its very uncomfortable. I got given Pramipexole at one stage by my doctor (for RLS) but as no one had given me a diagnosis and I did not like the sound of that medication, I did not take it.
I used to have contractions in my left thigh. It was constant. Never found a reason why. When I started pregabalin for RLS the contractions stopped. But I now have slight random twitching in my hands and shoulders in the morning ending by afternoon (a side effect of pregabalin).
